One of the reasons we started Blomma beauty was because we couldn't find enough product choice in the natural and organic sector so we're committed to finding you new, independent natural and organic brands. It therefore made total sense for us to head down to the Indie Beauty Expo a couple if weeks ago to source new brands and products for our events and website.
Held in the Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, IBE isn't your average trade show, it's far more intimate and personal making it the perfect fit for our company who rely on building strong relationships with brand founders.
There were so many great brands and a strong selection of natural and organic products to choose from but, in partnership with Beauty Independent we chose our top 5 products. We've included them below and watch this space to see when they'll feature at our events in the near future!
Codex Beauty, Milk Thistle & Elderflower Exfoliating Wash
Our ethos is all about ingredient transparency and so we were really pleased that Codex beauty align with these values. Each facet of the brand seems to have been carefully thought out from its formulations and how the ingredients are sourced and quality tested to the environmental impact of the packaging. It's refreshing too to see a brand evolve slowly with one collection launching per year. They seem to have nailed big brand operations with small brand values. In particular, the exfoliating wash was a favourite of mine because it is so gentle and didn't feel like it strips the skin of moisture.
Baûbo Beauty, The Balm
We love gamechanging brands and we think Baûbo is one of those. Shaking up the feminine and intimate care category with their 100% organic vulva balm in contemporary, rather than clinical packaging. And with B corp status and organic certification, so soon after launching makes them one to watch.
Inlight, Lip Serum
Our Founder, Karen, hasn't stopped using this product and has even made sure to transfer it when changing bags which must mean it's a keeper. This serum has a very fine application, unique scent and flavour and the feeling that it's treating your lips rather than just keeping dryness at bay or sitting on top of the skin. Even better that it's 100% organic and certified by The Soil Association.
Not only do our customers want to find cleaner, natural and organic beauty solutions but they're also concerned with sustainability and so want to be as eco conscious in all aspects of their beauty regime. It's particularly difficult to find zero waste and sustainable dental hygiene solutions from just one source so the entire Georganics range ticks all of the boxes.
All Tigers, Liquid Lipstick
You'll be immediately drawn to the packaging of this brand which is really bright and punchy, even better was that there was an interesting story behind the concept. We always have vibrant and expert brand founders and representatives at our events and the All Tigers team would be a great fit. We tried one of the natural shades and it has real staying power which is tough to achieve with natural cosmetics. Whilst not all shades are natural due to avoiding animal derived ingredients, it's interesting to see a brand trying to balance a number of different ethics within a range.
