This delicious, vegan hot chocolate is the perfect indulgent treat to drink before and during your menstrual cycle to help restore and replenish iron and energy levels. 

It’s especially good for those who have heavier periods as the herbs used are also haemostatic, which means it can help stop heavy flow.

Founder Natasha Richardson is a herbalist who has a Bsc (Hons) in herbal medicine and is trained as a doula and antenatal teacher. All the Forage Botanical products are handmade in small batches in the UK and feature an array of botanical extracts and herbs to help alleviate menstrual pains that women experience during the time of the month.

Ingredients

Theobroma cacao (raw cacao), Urtica dioica (nettle) and Rubus idaeus (raspberry leaf).

Raw cacao naturally contains caffeine.

How to use

Take two to four teaspoons of Aunt Flo’s drinking chocolate and add to a mug’s worth of oat or nut milk. Pour into a saucepan and heat until warm. Make sure you whisk the chocolate with the milk thoroughly before serving in a cup. Keep in a cool dark place.

Try adding a teaspoon of muscovado sugar, honey or agave syrup to sweeten.

We recommend taking Aunt Flo’s a few days before your period is due and continue taking it daily for three to five days after your period has started.

Sustainability

All elements of the packaging are recyclable except the lid. The label is vegan and biodegradable.
